We always start our client’s journey with a in depth consultation using a skin scanner to see what’s really going on in the deepest layers of your skin! We don’t just rely on visual assessment based on therapist experience!
The scanner works by taking images of your face – not only helping you to see what is happening now but also to accurately review how your treatment results are progressing over time.
This is so we can analyse your skin condition from the superficial level such as acne spots and blemishes, to any deep underlying damage, such as ultraviolet damage and pigmentation.
In addition, the skin scanner can assess the presence of expressive and static lines and wrinkles, as well as any redness or build-up of bacteria (porphyrins) within the skin.
Our Optra scanner uses a 2000W high-resolution digital camera with 3 spectrum imaging to analyse 10 main facial problems.
Unfortunately, as we get older, our skin loses the elasticity that it once had and we find that we start getting enlarged pores, pigmentation, wrinkles, maybe menopausal acne which may be followed by redness. Using our skin scanner at consultation we will be able to see deeper than the naked eye meaning it will detect concerns before it comes to the surface, therefore together we can create a homecare and facial plan together to postpone the signs of ageing.
Adult and teenage acne can also be detected using our skin scanner. The skin scanner measures Sebum (oil) production, whiteheads, commandoes (spots), scars at different stages of healing and development, as well as identifying the regions of the face where this is happening. This means we can then tailor treatments for these affected areas and create a tailor-made home care plan and treatment plan.

The skin scanner will analyse the complexion and reveal what’s going on, detecting areas of hyperpigmentation, heightened redness, broken capillaries, hydration, age spots and blemishes.
