Treatment Times

All treatment times include a consultation period with your therapist or practitioner.

Parking

Ample parking is provided at the front entrance to the salon.

New Clients

New clients making appointments, group bookings or any appointments requiring a time slot of over three hours will require a security deposit of 50% of the cost of the treatments booked. If the appointment is cancelled with less than 48 hours’ notice it is non-refundable.

Relaxation & Comfort

We have designed the salon for your relaxation and comfort. Out of consideration for other clients, please try to arrange a babysitter for your children and we insist on mobile phones being switched off.

Cancellation policy

Please be kind to us and other clients by giving 48 hours notification to cancel or change an appointment. If 48 hours’ notice is not given you will be charged 50% of your appointment cost for time reserved.

Special Offer 

We constantly run special offers and promotions in the salon please ask your therapist about these offers. Discounts are also available on course bookings.

Payment Methods

Methods of payment include gift voucher, cheque, cash, debit or credit card.

Loss or damage 

The management are unable to accept responsible for any personal items that are lost or damaged on the premises.

An intergral service 

As part of our integral service we provide a range of refreshments for our clients including coffee, tea, mineral water, juice & herbal tea.

Gift Vouchers 

Gift vouchers are ideal for any occasion and can be personalised and sent out on your behalf. They are valid for six months.

Treatment Courses 

All courses must be paid for on commencement and are valid for 12 months. Money is non-refundable and courses are non-transferrable.

WHEN SHOULD I ARRIVED FOR MY TREATMENT?

Please arrive 15 minutes before your scheduled appointment to check in and change.

WHAT IF I AM LATE FOR MY APPOINTMENT?

Arriving late will limit the time of your treatments. Your treatments will end on time so that the next client is not delayed.

IS THERE SOMEONE TO HELP ME DECIDE THE BEST TREATMENTS FOR ME?

Your therapist will be able to assist you and plan the best treatment programmes to suit your needs.

IS THERE A LIMIT TO THE NUMBER OF TREATMENTS I COULD HAVE IN A DAY?

No, you can have as many as you like time permitting.

WHAT IF I HAVE SPECIAL HEALTH CONSIDERATIONS?

Please notify your therapist or the receptionist before booking your treatments.

WHAT IF I NEED TO CANCEL MY TREATMENT?

The treatments you select are reserved especially for you. A fifty percent charge will be collected for treatments not cancelled forty eight hours in advance.

WHAT DO I WEAR DURING MY TREATMENT?

You may wish to wear your own underwear or we can provide you with hygienic disposable briefs. Bathrobe and slippers are provided. Your therapist will always use draping techniques to respect your privacy. 

CAN I ASK THE THERAPIST TO ADJUST THE ROOM TO MY COMFORT LEVELS?

This is your time and you should enjoy the experience to the full. Be it the room temperature, massage pressure or the volume of the background music. Please do not hesitate to ask the therapist to adjust them to your comfort levels.

We want your visit with us to be a pleasant one and would ask you to familiarise yourself with our customer information. Please respect the peacefulness and privacy of other clients and kindly refrain from using your mobile phones within the salon.

FACIALS Policy

Some facial treatments incorporate the use of heat. These services are not to be undertaken directly before or after heat treatments ie: waxing, sunbed, sauna & steam. It is also advisable to avoid heavy make-up or foundations for 3 to 4 hours after treatment. A patch test is recommended for all products for clients that are prone to allergic reaction or suffer from severe eczema, dermatitis or psoriasis (for all treatments).

Our course treatments will require regular maintenance to prolong the effects of your course. The time span between each treatment varies according to the individual client and treatment. Your therapist will advise you accordingly.

EYECARE Policy

A patch test is recommended for all products for clients that are prone to allergic reaction or suffer with severe eczema, dermatitis or psoriasis (for all treatments).In the case of tinting, a patch test must be carried out 24 hours prior to treatment.

HAIR REMOVAL Policy

Hair removal should not be undertaken directly before or after heat treatments ie: sunbed, sauna, steam or hot baths for 24 hours. The use of body lotions, make-up and tight clothing should be avoided for 24 hours.

BODY TREATMENT Policy

After all body treatments it is advisable to avoid showering for a minimum 3 to 4 hours. This will ensure that you get maximum benefit from the products used. Body treatments should not be undertaken directly before or after heat treatments ie: waxing, sunbed, sauna and steam for 24 hours. If you suffer with very sensitive skin, eczema, dermatitis, psoriasis, ask the advise of your therapist before booking a body treatment.

Feet – All pedicures are not recommended if you have evidence of athlete’s foot or verruca's. Please ensure that you bring a pair of flip-flops with you on the day. Overlays on toe nails includes a pedicure.

Tans – Avoid applying moisturisers, deodorants, perfume and make-up to the skin on the day of tanning. Shaving and waxing should be done 24 hours prior to tanning. Do not tint eyebrows or eyelashes within 12 hours of the treatment. Avoid wearing soft contact lenses during your tanning sessions. Wear loose dark clothing on the day of your tan. Strenuous exercise should be avoided after the as sweating can inhibit its development. Your tan should be left for a minimum of 4 hours to achieve maximum results.

Laser Treatments Policy

It is a requirement that a full consultation and patch  test is carried out for all laser treatments at A.R.T

It is the policy of A.R.T that no child under the age of 18 is to be treated with laser treatments at A.R.T

General Policy

All clients are advised to have a confidential consultation with the practitioner. You will be advised of available treatments and your suitability will be assessed. You can discuss your expectations and goals and you will have the opportunity to address any questions or queries that you may have. You will be advised of any pre treatment or post treatment care relating to your treatment.

We believe that your personal history, phone number, email and residential address belong to you. We collect this type of information from you in order to provide you with a smooth and efficient service when making appointments, buying products and paying for your services. We do not under any circumstances rent or sell this information to third parties. You can be rest assured that your information is securely stored at ART premises.

We also respect client privacy and dignity and you can be reassured that this will be considered throughout the treatment and within the salon at all times.

It is the policy of ART to try and accommodate disabled clients who may require the services that we offer. However our entrance does not offer adequate width to accommodate wheelchair access and there is a set of stairs that lead to the treatment rooms. All of our treatment couches have an electric lift capacity which lowers to a considerable height for the ease and comfort of our clients and we will try to endeavour to be as helpful and accommodating as we can within the health and safety guidelines. If we are unable to accommodate your treatment then we will refer you to your nearest approved clinic that has adequate facilities.

We value our customer’s feedback and would love to hear any comments, both positive and negative; you may have regarding your service at A.R.T This survey will remain strictly confidential at all times. Data gathered will be used for internal processes only in order for us to meet your expectations and requirements. The information provided by you will only be viewed by Management.
